Happy Birthday....

Granddaddy!!!!!



Today was my Father In-Law's Birthday! We celebrated with a good ol Pea Picking cake that my Mother In-Law made. It was very yummy!!!



I am blessed with great In-Laws!! They are so good with Beau and take up lots of time with him. He too, will realize this one day!!!

You've got mail!

Beau, Miley, & I took a trip to the mail box today. It's not as far as it seems from the house but with my wrist still in pain I can't carry Beau that far. So, I put him in his stroller and the 3 of us strolled out to the mailbox. When I opened the mailbox there was a small package for Miley!!! I was so excited for her because she did not know she got something, LOL





When we got back to the house I told her she got something in the mail...she just looked at me funny! HA! When I told her she got a "treat" she went crazy! She knows the word "treat" and knows where we keep them. She started running to the pantry! I said, "No, in here" She looked at me funny again!





She sniffed the box but really couldn't smell anything. So I proceeded to open it.




Higgins sent Miley some Ginger Bear snacks and a card. Miley entered in his snack giveaway. She didn't win but since only 2 dogs entered in the contest, Higgins sent Miley Ginger Bear Snacks too!!! Boy is she a happy doggy today!!!

Surgery

Hello,

I had wrist surgery this morning. It was on my right wrist. In June, I had the same surgery on my left wrist. While I was pregnant, I developed De Quarvaines Tendinitis. It causes pain in your thumb and the side of your wrist! I had a really really bad case of it!!! My OB Doctor thought it would go away after pregnancy but it only got worse! So worse that I could hardly take care of my baby!! I went to the wrist and hand doctor and I got cortisone shots. Let me just say O.U.C.H!!!! I said I will have surgery before I get another shot of that crap!!!! So, since my insurance was all paid up I got both surgeries for FREE!!!!! Whoo-hoo!!!!! So, the actual procedure is called...Release of first doral compartment...whatever that means...LOL Basically cutting the sheath or bands that are wrapped around the tendons. The first surgery was a speedy recovery and that's what I am hoping for this one!!!

Anyway, since I am not suppose to be lifting, turning, twisting my wrist I need help with Beau. Today was his first day at the babysitters. I have only met her 1 time before today. I was a little nervous to say the least. Not that I don't trust her but just hoping he is good for her and not fussy. I would feel so guilty. He is going to spend the rest of the week at the babysitters during the day and then come home in the afternoons after Jeremy gets off work. His Mimi picked him up after work today and said that the sitter said he was great :)) I hope he really was...LOL

Birthday Party!!!!

Saturday we went to Beau's cousin's 5th Birthday Party! It turned out to be a great party! It was just sooooo HOT!!!!!!!! Thank goodness Aunt Nat has a pool!!!

Weston wanted a western or cowboy Birthday Theme! It was so cute!!! He got lots of clothes for his Birthday since he is starting Kindergarten this year!!!

This & That

Well, nothing much has been going on around here lately! Last week I kept one of my very best friends kids. Emily & Eli. They stayed for a few days. Poor things we bored here in Austinville! We don't have "Big" kid toys around here. They watched a lot of T.V. and made a hut/store/fort out of the couch cushions, LOL!!!! One night we took them to Tony's Pizza in Middleburg! It was yummy! Don't know why we haven't been going there! Maybe because I don't need the extra calories...LOL

Since my wrist surgery is Tuesday....I decided to make a To Do List so I could get things done around the house before I won't be able to do much. Everyday I have something planned. Tuesday I cleaned the bathrooms, Wednesday I cleaned the bedrooms...this includes the windows and blinds!!! I was on a roll. Then today I got up with a mean headache and didn't have the pep in my step that I had 2 days earlier!!!! It's 3:00 and I have dusted the living room and done a few loads of laundry but still need to finish up sometime today!!! Hopefully I can get motivated reall soon since most of the day is gone!!! Geezzz!!!!

This is my newest great nephew!!! Isn't he just too sweet!!!! I can't wait to meet him!!! He lives in Tennessee so it will be at least until Thanksgiving before we get to meet him!!!

Grateful

This post is going to be about my husband, Jeremy. I love him dearly BUT sometimes I will admit I take him for granted! I whine about this or that, or about going to the races to much, and the MOST thing I complain about is his wardrobe!!!! BUT in all honesty he is the best husband and daddy you could ask for!




He will help around the house SOMETIMES but I have to tell myself that, it's better than not helping at all, like some husbands! He knows how to do laundry (except mine, hehe) which is a good thing....So for that, I am grateful!!!

He likes to cook! We grill out a lot but he will cook on the stove too! He can grill up some mean ribs and chicken on the grill!!!! Most men won't step foot in the kitchen when it's time to cook! So for that, I am Grateful!!!

He helps out with Beau when he can! He changes diapers, will give him a bath, change his clothes, and feed him!!! He is a great daddy!!! and for that, I am Grateful!!!!

He takes out the garbage, mows the grass, and weed eats! He doesn't do much more yard work than that but atleast he does those things!!!! So again, I am grateful!!!

When I sit around and hear other girlfriends or wives talk about what their husbands/boyfriends do or don't do I thank God for Jeremy!!! and think...I really don't have it bad!!!!!


We may not have everything we want, or get to go wherever we want to, or do whatever we want to, or have a lot of money BUT in the end we have each other, our little family of 4 (Jeremy, Me, Beau & Miley) and for that, I AM GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!



So, Jeremy this post is for you for being such a great husband, daddy, and best friend!!! I love you with all my heart!!!!!
